CHICAGO — An Illinois woman is suing health care providers, alleging medical malpractice in making her condition worse.
Debra Humphries filed a lawsuit May 26 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Narendra R. Patel and Barrington Orthopedic Specialists Ltd., alleging negligence in failing to provide proper medical care to the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, between 2008 and 2013, Humphries suffered injuries that made her medical condition worse while she was in the care of the defendants. The plaintiff alleges Patel Barrington Orthopedic failed to properly diagnose Humphries' condition which resulted in her having multiple unnecessary surgeries on her left foot.
Humphries seeks judgment of more than $50,000. She is represented by attorney Jeffrey E. Martin of Law Offices of Jeffrey E. Martin LLC in Arlington Heights.
