CHICAGO — A guardian is suing a Bridgeview medical facility, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries to a patient.
Delfondo Herron, guardian of the estate and person of Gertrude Herron, filed a lawsuit May 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against Midway Neurological and Rehabilitation Center LLC in Bridgeview, alleging negligence in failing to provide proper medical care for Gertrude Herron.
According to the complaint, on March 11, 2015, Herron violently fell from her wheelchair, causing permanent physical injuries, great physical paint, plus large medical expenses. On Feb. 15, 2016, Herron again fell violently from her wheelchair, the suit says, causing her great pain. The plaintiff alleges Midway Neurological failed to provide adequate supervision or necessary care plan for Herron.
Delfondo Herron seeks a trial by jury, judgment of more than $50,000, plus court costs. He is represented by attorney Robert J. Rooth of The Rooth Law Firm in Evanston.
