CHICAGO – A DuPage County man alleges a Wheaton law firm and lawyer failed to adequately represent him in his divorce case.
Brian J. Hickey filed a complaint on May 24 in Cook County Circuit Court against The Stogsdill Law Firm PC and Anthony Sammarco alleging legal malpractice.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between 2013 and 2014, he suffered damages and was obligated to pay an excessive permanent maintenance award to his estranged wife. The plaintiff holds The Stogsdill Law Firm PC and Sammarco responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to produce evidence in a timely manner.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $50,000. He is represented by Daniel F. Konicek and Brian W. Irvin of Konicek & Dillon PC in Geneva.
