CHICAGO – An Evanston couple alleges they had to pay more to fix poor work done by a contractor on their roof.
Kurt Bjorling and Annette Bjorling filed a complaint on May 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against Eco Solar Solutions Inc., Pavel Szczesny, and Bartosz Surowka, doing business as BMS Construction, alleging breach of contract, fraud and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered monetary damages as a result of poorly done work on their roof. The plaintiffs hold Eco Solar Solutions Inc., Pavel Szczesny, and Bartosz Surowka responsible because the defendants allegedly represented Surowka as a licensed roofer and falsely used the T.H.E. Inc. name in order to be permitted to work on the project. The defendants' work was poorly done and plaintiffs demanded to return all the monies paid but they refused.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant for the amount of more than $10,000 for actual damages, judgment against the defendant in an amount of $10,000 or such greater or lesser sum as punitive damages, interest and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Edwin R. McCullough of Edwin R. McCullough in Chicago.
