CHICAGO – A municipal corporation has filed suit against a law firm alleging it is owed money.

Illinois Sports Facilities Authority filed a complaint on May 27 in Cook County Circuit Court against Gould Law Group, doing business as Law Offices of Ira Gould, and Ira P. Gould alleging breach of contract, unjust enrichment and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered monetary damages in a total amount of $48,000. The plaintiff holds Gould Law Group and Ira P. Gould responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to return the funds to plaintiff despite several attempts to collect.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $48,000 plus interest and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Anthony J. O'Neill of Illinois Sports Facilities Authority in Chicago.
