CHICAGO – An estate administrator has filed suit against a Chicago hospital and a doctor.
Manuela Castillo, as independent administrator of the estate of Gilberto Castillo Lee, filed a complaint on June 16 in Cook County Circuit Court against Mercy Hospital and Medical Center and Dr. Charles Andrew Perrott alleging wrongful death.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in October 2014, Gilberto Castillo Lee experienced pain from his colonic mass, which contributed or caused his death. The plaintiff holds Mercy Hospital and Medical Center and Perrott responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly evaluate and provide proper treatment to Gilberto Castillo Lee.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $1,000,000 plus court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeffrey A. Schulkin of Jeffrey M. Goldberg Law Offices in Chicago.
