CHICAGO – An individual alleges that improper treatment from her dentist caused a brain infection.
Barbara J. Johnson filed a complaint on June 3 in Cook County Circuit Court against Sharon A. Malinowski DDS and Sharon A. Malinowski DDS, PC alleging medical malpractice.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she experienced pain in her gums and visited the defendant's office. The suit states that the defendant said the plaintiff had an abscess in her mouth, which later developed into an intracerebral abscess in 2014. The plaintiff holds Malinowski responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly provide treatment to plaintiff's abscess, such as antibiotics, which made her condition worse.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant, damages and any further relief as this court sees fit. She is represented by Craig M. Sandberg of Muslin & Sandberg in Chicago.
