CHICAGO – A niece alleges that negligent care contributed to the death of her uncle.
Donnis Robinson, as attorney in fact for the estate of Levi Jones, also known as J.K. Jones, filed a complaint on June 3 in Cook County Circuit Court against Renaissance at South Shore Inc., doing business as Renaissance at South Shore, and Nucare Service Corp. alleging violation of the Illinois Nursing Home Care Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Jones experienced pain from ulcers, sores and open wounds and a generally deteriorated health condition, which contributed or caused his death on Sept. 6, 2014. The plaintiff holds Renaissance at South Shore Inc. and Nucare Service Corp. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide proper care to Jones from Nov. 9, 2011, to July 1, 2014.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional minimum of this court. She is represented by Angel P. Bakov and Glen J. Dunn Jr. of Glen J. Dunn & Associates LTD in Chicago.
