CHICAGO — A woman is suing Great America LLC, doing business as Six Flags Great America, and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, also doing business as Six Flags Great America, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.
Jenny Stevens filed a complaint on June 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to maintain their facility free of any objects that may cause an accident.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 4, 2014, she sustained injuries when she accidentally tripped on a sandbag that was in the middle of a dark walking path. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly inspect their facilities for any foreign object that could cause an accident and provide proper warning in places most likely to be used by the public.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in a sum in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Vincent Petrosino and Kevin J. O'Shea of Serpico, Petrosino, Dipiero & O'Shea, Ltd. in Chicago.
