CHICAGO — A former employee is suing Weldbend Corporation, citing alleged failure to uphold Americans with Disabilities Act regulations, retaliation and wrongful termination.
Robert Baker filed a complaint on June 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against Weldbend Corporation, alleging that the employer terminated the plaintiff's employment as retaliation.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was injured while working on Jan 30, 2014; filed for workers' compensation on Sept. 3, 2014 and on March 5, 2015, was terminated in retaliation for filing the claim.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Gregg E. Strellis of Strellis & Field, Chartered in Chicago.
