CHICAGO — A former employee is suing Buckley Management, Inc., d/b/a McDonald's, and Dayja, Inc., d/b/a McDonald's, citing alleged retaliation and wrongful termination.
Ali Mourad Ansari filed a complaint on June 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that the employer terminated the plaintiff's employment wrongfully.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 18, 2014, he noticed that his name wasn't on the schedule, so he checked with his manager only to be informed that he was fired. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly terminated the plaintiff as retaliation for making complaints about sanitation problems in the store and claimed that he abandoned his job.
The plaintiff seeks reinstatement, all lost benefits, compensatory damages, punitive damages, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Joshua Karmel of Gordon & Centracchio LLC in Chicago and Kamran Memon of Law Offices of Kamran Memon in Chicago.
