Plaintiff says nursing care inadequate

CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate is suing Countryside Care Centre Inc., Countryside Care LLC, Presence Central and Suburban Hospitals Network d/b/a Presence Mercy Medical Center, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

William Harris, as special administrator of the estate of Lillie Michelet, filed a complaint on June 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Michelet.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Michelet was discharged from Countryside Care with several physical injuries including large wounds, rashes, blisters, infections and sores in different parts of her body. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to Michelet.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Jaime L. Padgett of Winters Salzetta O'Brien & Richardson, L.L.C. in Chicago.
