CHICAGO — A woman is suing Dr. Barry Cherny, DDS, and Hochstadter, Isaacson, Cherny & Associates Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery Ltd. d/b/a Hochstadter, Isaacson, Cherny, Dumanis & Associates Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Ltd, dental-care providers, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.
Colette Pompei filed a complaint on June 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide her with proper care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 18, 2014, she sustained several physical injuries including first bite syndrome, injuries to the lingual nerve, and numbness of the left anterior two thirds of the tongue. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly performed a surgical procedure on the plaintiff which caused several complications and injuries.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by John M. Molloy of John M. Molloy & Associates in Chicago.
