CHICAGO — A woman is suing AMC Network Entertainment LLC, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries in a theater.
Terri Walisiak filed a complaint on June 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against AMC Network Entertainment LLC, alleging that the property owner failed to keep the premises of its theater free of any hazards that could cause an injury.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 7, 2015, she sustained physical injuries when she fell because of a defect on the floor of a theater. The plaintiff holds AMC Network Entertainment LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly inspect the condition of the theater floor in order to make sure that it is safe for patrons to walk over.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000, court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by John C. Coyne of Law Offices of John C. Coyne in Chicago.
