CHICAGO — A woman is suing Belmont Village Buffalo Grove L.L.C. and Belmont Village Buffalo Grove Tenant L.L.C., alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries in a nursing home.
Sonia Kass, by her agent and daughter, Leni Kass, filed a complaint on June 20 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Sonia Kass.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 15, Sonia Kass suffered physical injuries. The lawsuit alleges the defendants are responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and timely medical attention to Sonia Kass when her bed alarm went off and it was found that she had a broken wrist.
The lawsuit seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Theodore J. Castanes of Kavathas and Castanes in Chicago.
