CHICAGO — A couple's lawsuit against John Bello, M.D., alleges negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.
Louis Orlando and Peggy Orlando filed a complaint on June 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against Bello, alleging that the physician failed to provide proper medical attention to Louis Orlando.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on June 26, 2014, Louis Orlando sustained damages to his eyes which required extensive medical treatment and surgeries to repair. The plaintiffs holds Bello responsible because he allegedly failed to properly evaluate the patient's condition and carelessly recommended a laser treatment.
The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional limit of this court plus court costs. They are represented by Daniel K. Touhy of Daniel K. Touhy P.C. in Chicago.
