CHICAGO — An attorney-in-fact for a nursing home resident is suing Tabor Hills Health Care Facility Inc., alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.
Ronald S. Kinsley, as attorney-in-fact on behalf of Denice D. Kinsley, filed a complaint on June 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against Tabor Hills, alleging that the nursing care facility failed to properly provide adequate care to Denice Kinsley while she was being taken care of in their facility.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Denice Kinsley sustained physical injuries including a fracture to the right distal femur shaft, leading to surgery and a deterioration in her overall health. The plaintiff holds Tabor Hills responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Denice Kinsley while she was a resident in their facility in order to keep her from falling from her bed.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000. He is represented by Margaret Battersby-Black and Michelle L. Wesley of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
