CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate is suing Park View Rehab Center, LLC, Park View Rehabilitation Center, LLC and Park View Rehab Center, in a wrongful-death suit claiming negligence in nursing home care.
Mary Alice Crowe, as special administrator of the estate of Mary Jo Crowe, filed a complaint on June 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Mary Jo Crowe.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Mary Jo Crowe experienced pain from developing pressure ulcer and other medical conditions that generally deteriorated her health, leading to her death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly evaluate Mary Jo Crowe's overall condition and to provide her with adequate care and supervision.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. She is represented by Michael T. Mertz and Brian J. Holmes of Hurley McKenna & Mertz, P.C. in Chicago.
