CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased man's estate is suing The Renaissance at 87th Street, Inc., d/b/a Renaissance at 87th Street and Nucare Services Corp., in a wrongful death suit alleging inadequate nursing home care.

Delores Bass, as independent administrator of the estate of Samuel Bass, filed a complaint on June 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Samuel Bass.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Samuel Bass experienced pain from developing pressure ulcers and from falling, contributing to and/or resulting in his death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Samuel Bass at all times to make sure that he didn't suffer a fall.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. She is represented by Margaret P. Battersby Black and Jared M. Reynolds of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
