Estate executor claims failure by physician

Medical malpractice 05

CHICAGO — An executor of a deceased man's estate is suing Frank Apantaku, M.D., and Apantaku Clinics, Ltd., health providers, in a wrongful death case alleging negligence.

Harris Lee Williams, independent executor of the estate of Earnest D. Williams Sr., filed a complaint on June 30 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to properly evaluate Williams' condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in March 2015, Williams experienced pain from an intestinal obstruction that contributed to and/or caused his death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly diagnose Williams' condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $75,000. He is represented by Robert L. Fogel of Fogel Law Offices in Chicago.
