Individual sues health providers

CHICAGO — An individual is suing Generations at Applewood, LLC, d/b/a Applewood Rehabilitation Center, S.I.R. Management, Inc. and Dee Korycki, R.N., alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Elsia White filed a complaint on July 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide her with proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she experienced pain from a fall that also caused a cervical spine fracture and a laceration to her head. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they defendants allegedly failed to provide the plaintiff with adequate supervision and with proper medical attention when she was a resident of their facility.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000. She is represented by Susan L. Novosad and W. Kent Winingham of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
