CHICAGO — An administrator is suing Manor Care of Homewood Illinois LLC, d/b/a Manorcare of Homewood, and Prairie Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center LLC, d/b/a Prairie Manor Nursing & Rehab Center, in a wrongful death suit alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Ted Dennison, as independent administrator of the estate of Lillian Dennison, filed a complaint on July 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Lillian Dennison.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Lillian Dennison experienced multiple falls, leading to a broken pelvis, surgery and infection, which contributed to and/or caused her death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to Lillian Dennison or take certain steps to prevent her from falling.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. He is represented by Kelly A. Sabo of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates, P.C. in Chicago.
