CHICAGO — A man acting in an attorney-in-fact role is suing Lexington Health Care Center of Elmhurst Inc., alleging negligence in nursing home care.

William Dreyer, Jr., as attorney in fact for William Dreyer, filed a complaint on July 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against Lexington Health Care Center of Elmhurst Inc., alleging that the nursing home failed to provide proper care to William Dreyer.

According to the complaint, William Dreyer suffered from medical conditions including pressure sores and sepsis in 2013, and the plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision and monitoring.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount sufficient to satisfy the jurisdictional requirements of the court plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Jeffrey Schlapp of Schlapp Law Group, L.L.C. in Chicago.
