CHICAGO — A nursing home resident is suing Park Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center LLC, Park Villa, Park Villa Nursing and Rehab Center, Villa Healthcare Management Inc. and Villa Financial Services LLC, alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Patricia Stellmach filed a complaint on July 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2015, she suffered from the development of a pressure ulcer. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to make sure she didn't develop a pressure ulcer and failed to timely treat her pressure ulcer during its early stages to make sure it didn't get worse.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. She is represented by Michael T. Mertz and Brian J. Holmes of Hurley McKenna & Mertz, P.C. in Chicago.
