CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased man's estate is suing Manor Care of South Holland IL LLC, Manorcare Health Services LLC and owner Paul Ormond, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Carmen L. Moore, as independent administrator to collect of the estate of J.W. Moore, filed a complaint on July 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care and medical attention to Moore.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2012, J.W. Moore experienced severe pain from multiple falls and pressure sores. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to make sure that Moore's pressure sores were properly treated as well as ensuring that he was well supervised at all times to prevent him from falling due to his lack of mobility.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount sufficient to satisfy the jurisdictional requirements of the court as well as any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Jeffrey Schlapp of Schlapp Law Group L.L.C. in Chicago.
