Negligence alleged in nursing home care

CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate is suing Symphony of Crestwood LLC, d/b/a Symphony of Crestwood, in a wrongful death suit alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Curtis Crossley, as independent administrator of the estate of Annie Crossley, filed a complaint on July 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the defendant, alleging that the nursing home failed to provide proper medical attention to Annie Crossley.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014 and 2015, Annie Crossley developed pressure ulcers that contributed to and/or caused her death. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to Annie Crossley and to take necessary precautions to make sure that she didn't develop pressure ulcer or to provide timely treatment in order to prevent them from getting worse.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Jason M. Kellerman of Law Offices of Steven J. Malman in Chicago.
