CHICAGO — A man is suing Allen Glater and McKillip Animal Hospital Ltd., alleging negligence in veterinary care.

Kevin Paulson filed a complaint on July 18 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging failure to perform necessary steps to ensure the safety of the plaintiff's dog before proceeding with an operation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in May, he suffered damages from the loss of his beloved dog, Blue. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to perform certain precautions as advised by Dr. Alan Prink before proceeding with the removal of a small cyst.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Carol L. Johnson of Johnson Law Center in Mundelein.
