CHICAGO — A man is suing Carbon on 26th LLC, d/b/a Carbon Live Fire Mexican Grill, a restaurant, alleging negligence, insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries and product liability.

Deiango Sain filed a complaint on July 19 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendant, alleging that the establishment served adulterated food that caused the plaintiff to become infected with E. Coli O517:H7.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 23, he experienced severe pain from being infected with E. Coli O517:H7 due to a food item he consumed. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because the establishment allegedly failed to properly inspect and manufacture food and drinks free from any harmful pathogen.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by David A. Williams of Brad J. Balke, P.C. in Chicago.
