Bar patron alleges beating by bouncers

CHICAGO — A patron is suing The Hangge-Uppe Inc., a bar operator, alleging battery and negligence.

Justin Maxwell filed a complaint on Aug. 26 in Cook County Circuit Court against The Hangge-Uppe Inc., alleging that the company allowed its employees to physically assault him.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 12, 2015, he sustained physical injuries from being physically assaulted. The plaintiff holds The Hangge-Uppe Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly allowed its bouncers/employees to use excessive force after ejecting him from the establishment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant of more than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Jeffrey S. Deutschman and Bradley A. Skafish of Deutschman & Associates, PC in Chicago.
