CHICAGO — The family of a deceased woman has filed a wrongful death claim against several medical professionals and a hospital, alleging they didn't properly treat a pulmonary embolism.
James Conner, as independent administrator of the estate of Tarchala Conner, is suing Mohammed Hussain, M.D.; Sarina Jeswani, M.D.; Athihallis Nagaraj, M.D.; Petham Muthuswamy, M.D.; and Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.
James Conner filed a complaint on Sept. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper medical care to Tarchala Conner.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 5, 2014, Tarchala Conner died when a pulmonary embolism wasn't addressed in time. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to perform timely medical procedures to treat Tarchala Conner.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by The Deratany Firm in Chicago.
