CHICAGO — A couple is suing Richardson Property Management Inc. and Frank Richardson, property owner, alleging negligence in connection with a roof collapse.

Lisa Sipe and Stephanie Sandman filed a complaint on Aug. 31 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to properly maintain the property and its facilities.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege they suffered damages to their property. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to inspect the property and make necessary repairs where needed, allowing leaks that ultimately caused a building's roof to collapse.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs and further relief. They are represented by Mark B. Grzymala of Grzymala Law Offices, P.C. in Skokie.
