CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate is suing over alleged negligence in nursing home care.

Catherine Crawford, independent administrator of the estate of Doris Freeman, is suing The Renaissance Park South, L.L.C. and Oak Lawn Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center L.L.C.

Crawford filed a complaint on Sept. 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Freeman.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in March, Freeman suffered a stroke. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly provide Freeman with an appropriate care plan based on her assessment in order to minimize the risk of a stroke.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000. She is represented by Robert J. Rooth of The Rooth Law Firm in Evanston.
