Odge's Hot Dogs accused of negligence in slip-and-fall

Slip01

CHICAGO — A man is suing for injuries he allegedly suffered when he fell due to a faulty step at a restaurant.

Lawrence Pettis is suing Odge's Hot Dogs, Unknown Beneficiaries of First Bank of Oak Park Trust # 13166, Edwin Boksa and Juana Boksa, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Pettis filed a complaint on Sept. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to repair a dangerous condition on their premises, causing him to be injured when he allegedly fell on Sept. 9, 2014.

He alleged the defendants allowed the dangerous condition of the step in front of their property and failed to provide adequate warning.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Alexandra Sternberg of Ankin Law Office LLC in Chicago.
