CHICAGO — An insurance firm and food company are suing Mauser USA LLC, which sells containers, citing alleged product liability.
Zurich American Insurance Company, a/s/o ACH Food Companies Inc., and ACH Food Companies Inc. filed a complaint on Sept. 9 in Cook County Circuit Court against Mauser USA LLC, alleging that the defendant provided contaminated drums for ACH products.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered monetary damages. The plaintiffs hold Mauser USA LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly manufactured food containers which contained loose plastic pieces.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant. They are represented by Jeffrey H. Lipe and Jordan M. Tank of Lipe Lyons Murphy Nahrstadt & Pontikis Ltd. in Chicago.
