CHICAGO — A patient is suing a doctor, identified as Nikolaos Dallas, and Advocate Health, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Nimitt Desai filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide him with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014 and 2015, he sustained damages and physical injuries as a result of a misdiagnosis of a schwannoma as a lipoma. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly diagnose his condition and provide the appropriate treatment in order to avoid further complications.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Timothy M. Richardson of Winters Salzetta O'Brien & Richardson, LLC in Chicago.
