CHICAGO — Two parents have filed a lawsuit alleging that their daughter did not receive proper nutrition while hospitalized.

Adam Levy and Lauren Schrero Levy have sued the University of Chicago Medical Center, alleging negligence in the surgical placement of lines for nutrition. The plaintiffs filed a complaint on Sept. 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendant, alleging that the hospital failed to provide proper medical care to their daughter.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 23, 2015, their daughter sustained injuries because the University of Chicago Medical Center failed to provide her with proper nutrition or adequate supervision.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than the minimum jurisdiction of this court. They are represented by David R. Barry Jr. and Daniel S. Kirschner of Corboy & Demetrio, P.C. in Chicago.
