CHICAGO — A deceased woman's family is suing Presence Holy Family Medical Center and several health care practitioners, alleging negligence in medical care.
Patricia Petracco, administrator of the estate of Evelyn M. Petracco, is suing the hospital and practitioners identified as Medona L. Dawravoo, Erika S. Kahan, Timothy J. Cahill and unknown medical personnel. She filed a complaint on Sept. 19 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper medical care to Evelyn M. Petracco.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Evelyn M. Petracco sustained serious physical injuries and bled to death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly supervise their employees who placed a catheter in Evelyn Petracco.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than the jurisdictional limits of the court. She is represented by Jordan B. Rifis of Law Offices of Jordan B. Rifis, P.C. in Oak Park.
