CHICAGO — A representative of a deceased woman's estate is suing a doctor, identified as Kenneth Anderson, M.D., alleging negligence in medical care.

Bernadine McCauley, independent executor of the estate of Julia Sandowski, filed a complaint on Sept. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against Anderson, alleging that the doctor failed to provide proper medical care to Sandowski.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, Sandowski experienced pain and physical injuries including excessive internal bleeding and hypovolemic shock, which contributed to the deterioration of her health. The plaintiff holds Anderson responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly diagnose Sandowski's condition and allegedly carelessly administered excessive anticoagulation therapy.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Robert J. Rooth of The Rooth Law Firm in Evanston.
