Community Male Empowerment Project, others accused of misleading investors to buy Chicago real estate

CHICAGO — Five people are suing investment groups over allegations of fraud.

Ge Sheng, Lijun Sheng, Feng Ma, Jiandong Wang and Ying Sun filed a complaint on Oct. 27 in Cook County Circuit Court against Meritros Investment Group, New Frontier, Zhibin Wang, Heren Lu, Daoming Guo, Colonial Capital, LLC and Community Male Empowerment Project, alleging that the defendants conspired to sell properties at inflated prices.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege the defendants misled them into purchasing real estate in Chicago, allegedly making false representation the properties would produce 14 percent net returns annually.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants and ask that all contracts be voided plus any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Anne Shaw and Darryl Tom of Shaw Legal Services, Ltd. in Chicago.
