American Litho accused of improperly interfering with competitor's business

CHICAGO — A printing company is suing American Litho Inc, a competitor, citing alleged breach of duty, tortious interference and unjust enrichment.

Specialty Promotions Inc., which does business as Specialty Print Communications, filed a complaint on Oct. 26 in Cook County Circuit Court against American Litho, alleging the competitor participated in a scheme to divert work and opportunities using one of the the plaintiff's employees.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds American Litho responsible because the defendant allegedly induced and aided the employee in the breach of his fiduciary duties to the plaintiff for the defendant's benefit.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages plus interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Michael P. Tomlinson and Michael Munley of Tomlinson Law Office, P.C. in Chicago.
