Belhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center accused of failing to properly supervise man

CHICAGO — A nursing home resident's family is suing Belhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center; and Infinity Healthcare Management of Illinois LLC, alleging negligence in care.

Ada Lee, as attorney in fact for Herman Lee, filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Herman Lee.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Herman Lee suffered from a fall that fractured his right hip and contributed to the deterioration of his health. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision at all times in order to keep Herman Lee from falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Jordan S. Powell and W. Kent Winingham of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
