CHICAGO — A deceased man's family has filed a wrongful death claim alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Joyce Mackeri-Crockett, as independent administrator to collect of the estate of Johnnie L. Mackeri Sr., filed a complaint on Nov. 2, in the Cook County Circuit Court against Clark Manor Convalescent Center; J.S. Affiliates, LTD.; JLR Financial Services Corp..; and an individual, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Mackeri.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Mackeri suffered from the development of pressure ulcers that contributed to his death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to Mackeri.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Pamela Dimo of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
