CHICAGO — A deceased woman's family has filed a wrongful death claim alleging negligence in care by a nursing home and other providers.

Ambrose Fredricks, as independent administrator of the estate of Lois Fredericks filed a complaint on Nov. 1, in Cook County Circuit Court against Southpoint Nursing and Rehabilitation Center; Symphony at Morgan Park; Renaissance Park South; Advocate Trinity Hospital; TLC Healthcare Services of Illinois, Inc; and Faith Home Healthcare Incorporated, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Lois Fredericks.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Fredericks suffered from pressure sores and the effects of a fall, contributing to her death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to Fredericks to prevent the development of pressure sores and to implement a care plan to address her risk of falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount sufficient to compensate him for damages. He is represented by Eva E. Golabek of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago.
