St. Bernard Hospital accused of negligence in sanitation procedures

CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased man's estate has filed a wrongful death claim against St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center, alleging negligence in medical care.

Grace Williams, as special administrator of the estate of Marvin Bolden, filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in Cook County Circuit Court against St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center, alleging that the hospital failed to provide proper medical care to Bolden.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Bolden developed severe infections and sepsis and died from complications of those conditions. The plaintiff holds St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to to follow proper sanitation procedures.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Edward G. Proctor Jr. of Munday & Nathan in Chicago.
