CHICAGO – A pedestrian alleges she was injured after she was struck by a tug operated by a United Airlines employee.

Ercira Pelto filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in Cook County Circuit Court against United Airlines Inc. and a United employee,  alleging the employee failed to properly control his tug.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 31, 2015, the plaintiff was exiting an employee van and was struck by a United tug and baggage cart. The plaintiff holds United Airlines Inc. and the employee responsible because the employee  allegedly failed to keep a proper look out while operating defendant United's tug.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. She is represented by Edith Llanes and Andrew Pippin of Hetherington, Karpel, Bobber & Miller LLC in Chicago.
