CHICAGO — A man is suing Jo-Kim Lounge Corp., which does business as Maxbar and Bamboo Lounge, alleging that the bar is liable for an assault due to the provisions of the Dram Shop Act.

Ryan Fulton filed a complaint on Nov. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Maxbar and Bamboo Lounge, alleging that the establishment over-served alcohol to three men who were escorted from the premises, and that he was locked out of the building at 2 a.m. when the three assaulted him.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 29, 2015, he sustained physical injuries from the three-on-one assault.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Michael C. Terranova of Cogan & Power, P.C. in Chicago.
