CHICAGO — A woman is suing an Evanston couple, alleging they are responsible for injuries she suffered in a porch collapse.

Annease Gaddy filed a complaint on Nov. 10, in the Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to make sure that their structure in Evanston was safe.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 25, 2015, she sustained physical injuries when the porch of the defendants' property collapsed. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate warning regarding the number of persons it could support.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Gavin M. Pearlman of Briskman Briskman & Greenberg in Chicago.
