Vintage Healthcare Services accused of failing to provide proper supervision

CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate has filed a wrongful death claim against Vintage Healthcare Services Inc., alleging negligence in the provision of home health care services.

Laneasha Durham, special administrator of the estate of Anissa Beard, filed a complaint on Nov. 16 in Cook County Circuit Court against Vintage Healthcare Services Inc., alleging that the defendant failed to provide proper care to Beard.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Vintage Healthcare Services Inc. failed to provide adequate supervision to Beard and to report to her physician the early signs of pneumonia, contributing to her death.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by attorney Stephen J. McMullen in Chicago.
