CHICAGO – A patient alleges he has suffered permanent injuries after receiving anesthesia for a surgery.
Leonard F. Ciangi filed a complaint on Nov. 16 in Cook County Circuit Court against Mihail P. Nikolov, M.D. alleging medical negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained permanent physical injuries, including the permanent paralysis of his right hemidiaphragm and loss of use of his right lung, because of the improper placement of an anesthesia needle in 2008. The plaintiff holds Nikolov responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly perform a procedure on plaintiff.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by John M. Driscoll PC in Schaumburg.
