Guest claims Hampton Inn concealed a hole in the floor with carpet, leading to her injuries

CHICAGO — A woman is suing TMI Hospitality, which does business as Hampton Inn, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries, liability and negligence.

Rachelle Walker filed a complaint on Nov. 17, in the Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they used carpet to conceal a hole in the floor of their property.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in 2015, she sustained physical injuries to her head, body and limbs as a result of encountering that hole, which they did not warn her about.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Corey A. Benjamin of Benjamin and Shapiro, LTD. in Chicago.
